As our family grows Christmas is taking on a new meaning. On cable television in December there’s a channel dedicated to tracking Santa Claus. It’s amazing, we can track a jolly man in a red suit, but many canvassing departments have trouble tracking their own numbers.
In November I talked a lot about activities and strategies to bridge the gap between seasons. At the end of the year you should be tracking your numbers, results, budgets and expenditures; for both review and preparation for 2012.
The big question is, “Are you tracking the right information?” And how do you use that information to plan and budget for 2012? The numbers will tell you where you’re going. There are front-end and back-end numbers and knowing them will help you direct your canvassing, help you manage and motivate your canvassers.
Knowing what the numbers are and how to use those numbers in evaluating canvassers is critical to your department’s success.
If you didn’t take advantage of the coaching and consulting promotion in November, which was designed to help existing canvassing departments, or start up departments get all their “ducks” in a row to create a guaranteed successful 2012 canvassing season. This month you must take advantage of this … and it’s free (well, almost free).
If you’re not tracking your numbers, or you’re not sure if you’re tracking the right numbers and how to apply those numbers to grow lead production, then you’ve got to take advantage of this; go to www.canvassking.com/5reasons and complete the order form at the bottom of the page to receive my “5 Reasons Why Companies Fail Canvassing” and my “Understanding the Numbers that Make Canvassers Successful” report. The DVD and report are free. The DVD will arrive to you by mail and the report will come by email. So there’s full discloser, both are free, though there’s a $9.95 fee to covers shipping and handling on the DVD.
I can understand if the investment for the opportunity I made available in November was too much, but if you don’t take advantage of this opportunity then shame on you. I want you to be successful! I know what it’s like to struggle month in and month out always looking for the next lead. The truly successful companies look beyond the leads. In the Kevin Costner movie, “Field of Dreams” they said, “If you build it they will come.” As sales and marketing people we’re instinctively aggressive, but skill and brute force work can only take you so far. The truly successful people are able to look beyond the task and build for the future.
Get the 5 Reasons DVD and Numbers report. They’ll help you build your future.
