Homeowner resistance is natural. You’re doing outbound marketing. When you knock on a homeowner’s door they’re not expecting you and the last thing they’re thinking about is home improvements.
Your presentation has to completely disarm the homeowner’s resistance; you have to show up different from everyone else. Your presentation starts the moment they make eye contact with you. If you look like a sales person or sound like a sales person the homeowner’s going to treat you like a sales person. How you’re dressed can turn the homeowner’s resistant mindset to one of curiosity.
